High-Resolution 1961-1990 Annual Climatology for Italy

Precipitation (data access)

30 arc-second annual precipitation climatology for Italy referred to the 1961-1990 reference period.
Climatology is reconstructed with a Local Weinghted Linear Regression of precipitation versus elevation starting from a dataset of about 6000 rain gauges.
The domain corresponds to the area within Italy's administrative boundaries and includes the trans-national portions of the Po basin.

Temperature (data access)

30 arc-second annual mean temperature climatology for Italy referred to the 1961-1990 reference period.
Climatology is reconstructed with a Local Weinghted Linear Regression of temperature versus elevation, starting from a dataset of about 1500 ground stations.
The domain corresponds to the area within Italy's administrative boundaries and includes the trans-national portions of the Po basin.
